They are part of the proper dental hygiene because they remove plaque from the interdental spaces that a normal toothbrush cannot remove. Their regular use prevents dental cavities, tartar build-up, gum inflammation and periodontitis. The space between the teeth varies, too small of a brush would not be able to provide effective clean-up and too large one could damage gums.

Use: Ideally, once a day, after brushing your teeth with a normal toothbrush. Insert gently your selected brush size between the teeth, moving it gently back and forth at least once in each interdental space. It is important to clean the brush between each use in order to prevent dirt entering between the teeth.
