Winter Skin Care

“What outdoor skin care regime should you use when going out when the weather is cold and wintery?

Moisturising is a Must

Firstly for outdoor skin care I would recommend a good moisturiser to give a layer of protection to the skin from the harsh winter elements. A light moisturiser would be protective enough when going out in the cold, rain or snow but using your favourite is fine as long as you do use it. One containing hyaluronic acid would be ideal as this  increases the water content in the skin

Secondly, if your skin is really dry and chapped try using a heavier cream either at night or both day and night. One with a Shea butter base would be ideal.

Skin Hydration is Important

Also bear in mind you cannot hydrate properly if you have a build up of dead dry skin cells on the surface layer of the skin, as this acts as a dead barrier against any cream, or moisturiser. Using a good facial scrub, say with almond and lavender, is a must. Again just use your favourite but make sure it is a scrub that is gentle but effective enough to be used everyday. This will leave your skin soft and allow your moisturiser and cream to penetrate the surface layer and heal your dry skin.

Take care of Your Eyes

When going out in cold wintery weather the sensitive area your eyes can really be badly affected. I would strongly recommend using an eye-gel for fine lines and wrinkles. This will allows the moisture binding process to happen internally through natural cell renewal.

When you are going out in really cold wintery weather you obviously protect your body by wrapping up really warm. Never forget to protect your skin, especially your face. Doing what is suggested above should really help. You can find more fabulous products here
